Mr. Franks graduated law school from South Texas College of Law Houston. While there, Mr.Franks was elected president of a student run organization, received a CALI excellence for the future award, and earned his certification in mediation. Furthermore, drawn to the Courtroom, Mr. Franks was selected to participate as an advocate in the T. Gerald Treece Summer Mock Trial Academy, after which he was asked to compete at the varsity mock trial level. Mr. Franks also spent a semester working for the Major Offenders Division at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked tirelessly on some of the highest profile cases in Harris County.

Mr. Franks began working at Tilton & Tilton LLP during his third year of law school. After graduating from law school in the top of his class, Mr. Franks joined the team full time. Three weeks after successfully passing the Texas Bar Examination and being sworn in as an attorney, Mr. Franks sat first chair and was lead counsel in a multi-day jury trial against one of the largest insurance companies in Texas. At the end of the trial the jury awarded Mr. Franks’ client 50% more than the Defendant’s highest previous offer. Since joining Tilton & Tilton Mr. Franks has continued to successfully fight some of the largest corporations, railroads, and trucking companies on behalf of his clients.

Furthermore, wanting to expand our firm’s capabilities and resources to help those who have been injured and wronged in his home state, Mr. Franks successfully became licensed in the state of Illinois, where he attended both high school and college at the University of Illinois, after passing the Illinois Bar Examination. Mr. Franks’ father is s Vietnam War Veteran who was awarded the bronze star for his service and went on to become a high ranking executive in the print media industry. His mother is a successful real estate agent and he has three older siblings.

In his spare time Mr. Franks enjoys staying active and continuously challenging himself both physically and mentally.
